With great sadness, we, the Board of Directors of the Montclair Neighborhood Development
Corporation, share in mourning with the family of our Executive Director Albert Pelham.
Mr. Pelham has been a pillar in the Montclair Community for more than 50 years. He has
mentored, tutored, and guided many young people in Montclair. Mr. Pelham was indeed a man
who lived his mission and fulfilled his purpose in this life. Our goal is to continue Mr. Pelham’s
legacy, and commitment to improving the lives of those MNDC serves daily.
In the meantime, we have appointed the Rev. Dr. A. Craig Dunn, former MNDC Board President,
and current board member, as the Interim Executive Director. Rev. Dunn is from Montclair and
has a long history of serving the Montclair Community. He also has a long-standing relationship
with MNDC, having been affiliated with the agency since he was ten years old. He was involved
in the youth program M-CAP and worked for the CETA program.
Rev. Dunn has more than thirty years of experience in business development for companies
such as USA Today, The New York Times, and Marshall Cavendish Corporation.
Rev. Dunn is a graduate of Montclair High School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The
Ohio State University. Rev. Dunn has graduated with a Master of Divinity, a Master of Sacred
Theology, and a Doctor of Ministry Degrees from Drew Theological Seminary. He is currently
the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Madison, New Jersey, and a chaplain to the
Montclair Police Department.
We looked forward to furthering the legacy of Mr. Albert Pelham and his vision for improving
the quality of life for all.
