OUR HISTORY. OUR DRIVE. OUR PASSION

The Montclair Neighborhood Development Corporation (MNDC) was founded in 1969 and incorporated on June 1, 1970 by a group of concerned citizens and community activists. Its mission was to empower and support vulnerable individuals and families in three neighborhoods:

·        Nishuane to Glenfield School

·        Rand School to Frog Hollow

·        Glenridge Avenue and Bay Street.

Essex County provided grants (Community Services Block Grant and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)) to fund administrative costs and the MNDC Adult School.
