Clarence Jackson

Clarence Jackson served as a Personnel Clerk in the U.S. Air Force from 1968-74. He attended Essex County College and Rutgers University in business and accounting studies and then worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service from 1978 – 2009. He has served in many capacities including Commander, Crawford Crews American Legion Post 251, a member of the Montclair Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Advisory Committee, 8th Congressional District Veterans Advisory Committee, and 1st Junior Vice Commander Disabled American Veterans Dept. of NJ.

Since retiring from the U.S. Postal Service, Mr. Jackson has been involved with many organizations, serving as Chairman of the Armed Services & Veterans Affairs Committee Montclair, NJ NAACP, Commander, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3, Newark, Vice Commander Essex County Committee American Legion, a member of the NJ State Conference NAACP Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Committee, Board of Trustees member for Montclair Neighborhood Development Corporation, Chairman of the Essex County Veterans Advisory Board and more.
