MNDC provides Christmas gifts to children from Jersey Cares

Jersey Cares Provides Children with Christmas Gifts

On Saturday, December 14, Jersey Cares provided sponsored children with Christmas gifts. Mr. Jack Ferrel donned his Santa Claus outfit and handed out presents to each child at MNDC’s office in Montclair. MNDC’s intern Ms. Rogers, Ms. Deja Pelham, and Mr. Robles volunteered as elves. Volunteer Passion McKnight, a former Career Development Institute student painted the children’s faces as a way to give back to an organization that she says has blessed her in many ways.  There was plenty of pizza, cookies and candy canes for all. Assistant social worker Madeline Guthrie coordinated the event with the support of executive director Mr. Al Pelham, director of program services Ms. Elaine Spears, and case manager Mr. Luis Agrelot. We are grateful to Montclair Deputy Chief Wilhelm Young for photographing the event.
